Soft Impact

This project investigates the expressive potential of cloth, exploring how fabric can come alive through motion. Using keyframe-driven animation in Cinema 4D and Marvelous Designer, the focus was on surface deformation, subtle folds, and the tactile qualities that make cloth feel tangible and responsive.

By homing in on these details, the animations reveal the character of the material—how it bends, stretches, and interacts with its environment—transforming a simple study into a dynamic, living surface. These explorations not only refined my understanding of motion and deformation but also inspired concepts that were later applied to the FitFlop project, demonstrating how experimentation can inform practical, production-ready design.
